Beginning salaries in this field are usually in the $15-$20 per hour range. You can end up making $35-$40 per hour or more, however, after you get some experience under your belt. And, salon managers can even top this salary level.
Remember, too, that tips can improve the amount you can earn. Tips usually comprise about 20% of the total service value. Note that a new aesthetician could presumably be making a decent wage almost immediately after getting the proper schooling and finding work. A successful professional esthetician could end up making between $60K – $100K a year, including tips.
