While still in midwifery school, midwives are taught how to deal with the different scenarios that surround the process of childbirth. It is also the school’s role to teach the learning midwives the different functions of the different parts of the female’s anatomy, in relation to sexuality and other physiological components and processes. A good solid background on how the body works will provide the midwives with the needed knowledge in the future, and thus, they will be able to deal accordingly with the different situations at hand expertly and ethically. Midwifery schools should also teach the students on how to collaborate with other members of the healthcare team especially when the need arises.
