When this world is full of qualified and competent people, you need more than ability to stand out among the crowd. There is one absolutely crucial element that a lot of people have left out and adding this one single thing will top off that long list of accomplishments you have been selling to your boss: Passion. That’s right, I mentioned something that has nothing to do with your work performance. You need to stand out among other people by showing you are passionate about what you do. The business world is shifting towards leading with passion, as willingness to work hard just doesn’t cut it anymore. You have to be passionate about what you do, and that’s the only way you will succeed. Even if you lack the experience, if you have the passion, your boss will believe that you can learn to get there.
